My 4-year-old was struggling with transitions—leaving the park, turning off screens, switching to bedtime. I wanted something that showed him how much time was left in a way he could actually see, not just a number.
So I built PictoTimer: a visual countdown where you pick a photo (we use his favorite stuffy—his mermaid), set the time, and watch the image reveal as the timer runs. When the picture’s fully there, time’s up. It’s made a real difference for us.
Other apps have similar functionality but none were truely free, unlike PictoTimer. I built it for me and my family, but I knew others could benefit from it too.
If you have a kid who needs gentler transitions, or you just want a more visual way to track time, then PictoTimer is the App for you and your kid.
